Auction Length, Start & Closing Times. At MusicAAmore, the seller has complete control over the Start & Closing times of each auction. Our easy-to-use Posting Form allows sellers to choose the exact day and time an auction will begin and end. AND sellers have control over the length of time each auction will run from five (5) minutes to up to thirty (30) days.
Preview Auctions. By selecting an advance Start Time for your auction, your auction remain visible on the site in PREVIEW MODE until the Auction Start day and time you have chosen. (If you wish your auction to begin immediately, leave the first set of counters set at zero (0) "Time until aucition opens"). Buyers may view Preview Auctions, but will not be able to place bids until the Auction officially opens, or unless the Buy It Now option is chosen. You can post an item in Preview for up to 30 days before the Auction Start Time. This can be a useful tool for several reasons. 1) It extends the visibility time of your auction. You can preview an item for 30 days and run the auction for another 30 days, all currently FREE! 2) You can invite potential bidders to view your auctions before bidding begins, and 3) You can use this tool to create a "Live Auction" by leaving the posting in Preview and then setting the Auction Length for just 1 or 2 hours. Make sure you post in your item description, and any auction invitations, the date and time of your "Live Auction." You might want to make sure and use a Reserve Price on this type of auction. TRY IT! It can be an exciting auction format for a rare or hard-to-find collectible.
Categories. Can't find a category or subcategory for your item? Just e-mail us at newcategory@musicaamore.com and we'll create one for you. In most cases we can have your new category ready for listing with 8 hours after receiving your e-mail.
Auction Titles. The Title/Name of your Auction can contain up to 50 characters including spaces.
Searchwords. You can add up to five (5) searchwords to your auction so that bidders can easily find your items. Searchwords should be exact and may contain multiple word phrases.
Links. Sellers are NOT allowed to place links within auction postings themselves. The only links allowed within an auction posting are links to a picture of the item, if not using our photo hosting. There is an automatic button link on each auction that will allow bidders to view your Personal Page. If you wish to provide links to your own web pages or another website, these must be created on your Personal Page ONLY. Your Personal Page can be created from your User Control Center. You make create as many links as you like on your Personal Page, as long as they are related to 'Music and the Arts' and/or the selling of related items. Links to pages or sites that do not pertain to this theme, or that are deemed inappropriate, vulgar, abusive, harrassing or objectionable to any member or by any member of our staff, will result in immediate removal and/or possible account termination.
Attention Grabbers. Add one of our Attention Grabbers to attract bidders. We currently offer a choice of eight (8) "Grabbers": Money Money, Orbit, The Eyes Have It, Bright Idea, Circle This One, Mr. Taterhead, Psychedelic Explosion and Blue Ribbon. Try one!
Other Auction Enhancers. We offer several other ways to enhance your listing to make it stand out. You can Bold Your Item Listing, or place your listing in either our Category Gallery or our main site Featured Gallery. There is a direct link to the Featured Gallery on the MusicAAmore Homepage.
Multi-Item Listing. This is an auction format used to sell multiple identical items (2 or more) at a fixed price. On the "Sell" form, simply choose "Multi Item Listing" under "Auction Type," type in the number of identical items you are offering, and enter the fixed price in the box provided at the bottom of the form. Make sure all other pricing options are set to zero ("0"). Bidders buy the items as they bid much like the "Buy It Now" feature, which we also offer on proxy auctions. If all items offered are sold before the auction end time, the auction closes after the last item available is sold.
Silent "Vickrey" Auctions. Run a silent auction if you wish to keep the bids on your item hidden from view. This can encourage bidders to enter an initial amount they are willing to pay for an item. Choose "Silent Vickrey Auction" under "Auction Type" on the Sell Form. Try one!
Item Condition. We decided to save sellers some time by adding a "Item Condition" rating right on the Post Auction form. Simply choose one of the options from the Item Condition Pull Down Menu on the form. This can save you the time of describing your item's condition in text of your Item Description.
Reserve Auctions. Sellers can choose a reserve price for any auction listing. If the reserve price is not met when the auction closes, the item is not considered sold.
Buy It Now Feature. Sellers may opt to use our Buy It Now feature on their auctions. This allows a bidder to purchase the item immediately for a Buy It Now price designated by the seller. The auction is then closed and the item is considered sold.
Bid Increment Control. At MusicAAmore the seller chooses their own bid increments for each auction listing.
Reverse Auctions. We also offer a Reverse Auction Format. Buyers place the listing for an item they are looking for and the Seller's bid down on the item, if they have one to offer the Buyer. Instructions for running a Reverse Auction are explained more fully on the Buyers Info Page. To post a Reverse Auction click "Wanted" on the homepage.
User Control Center. Each seller has a User Control Panel, accessible by password, where you can monitor your current auction listings, auctions you are bidding on, your seller info, create a personal page, monitor your seller account and fees, control who you allow to bid on your items, and much more. There is now also a built in HTML editor on the Personal Page Creator so you can design with ease!
Monitoring Auctions and Questions from Bidders. You can monitor your auctions from your User Control Center. When bidders ask questions about one of your items, the question is posted directly on the auction listing and you will receive an e-mail notifying you that an item has received a question. Post your answer to the question directly on the auction listing. There are "buttons" on every auction listing to ask and answer questions.
Non-Paying Bidders. We maintain strict policies about completing transactions on the MusicAAmore site. Although the details of the transaction are left up to the buyer and seller, if as a seller you feel that you have been the victim of non-payment fraud, you may submit a Fraud Report by e-mailing us at fraud@musicaamore.com. We will make a personal inquiry to the buyer on your behalf. If the buyer does not respond or we find a case of non-compliance with our User Agreement, we will immediately cancel the buyer's account and block them from future use of the site.
Feedback. We have now implemented a feedback system which we believe is fair and unbiased. It is a POINT system only. Upon completing a transaction you may leave a position (+1), neutral (0) or negative (-1) feedback for the seller or buyer. To leave feedback, access the auction from your User Control Panel, click on the auction and the feedback tabs will appear on the auction page. Upon registration you will automatically begin with a zero (0) neutral rating which will appear as a neutral feedback from Admin MusicAAmore.
Advertise. We can rotate your business or personal banner on our MusicAAmore Auction Homepage for all to see. Advertising rates are posted on the banner link on the homepage.
